Bloodied Cloth Draping sheet

Lights : 1 single stage down light (mirror)
Spotlight (cross)
Single down light (next to cross)
A couple stage down lights

Characters Thief (adidas jacket, heavy black eye shadow, headband)
Shopper (middle class woman clothing)
Businessman (shoddy suit i.e. double breasted jacket, thin tie)
Old man (old trousers, shirt tucked in, slippers, maybe D-gown)
Boyfriend (black singlet black jeans or stubbies, boots, beard)
Girlfriend (ummm….)

Scene 1
Shopper is on stage miming shopping. Thief approaches stage past the cross. When passing the cross the cross is lit up, thief quickly averts her gaze and turns away. Thief mimes stealing from shoppers handbag then shopper exits stage. Thief turns around and sees the mirror and herself in it, quickly she covers up the mirror with the sheet making sure nobody saw it and hurriedly leaves.

Scene 2
Business man approaches stage past the cross. When passing the cross the cross is lit up, Business man shakes his head in disgust. Business man approaches imaginary house and knocks on door. Old man enters stage, business man forces him into signing some papers even moving the old mans name on the sheet of paper. Business man slaps the old man on the back who exits stage. Business man turns around and sees the mirror and himself in it, quickly he covers up the mirror with the sheet making sure nobody saw it and hurriedly leaves.

Scene 3
BF and GF approach stage passing the cross. GF is backing away crying while BF in a rage walks towards her yelling at her. They reach stage left, where crying GF mouths “I’m sorry”; BF gets even angrier and throws her to the ground. GF stunned runs off, BF turns around still yelling and sees the mirror and himself. After realising what he “looks like”, broken he falls at the base of the mirror. Then the spotlight lights up the cross. Rising BF goes and falls at the base of the cross. After music changes BF gets up, Looks at the cross for a while and leaves. Light stays on the cross for about 20sec then fades with music.
(Music is first Eminem, then the Passion soundtrack at the mirror, then Mercy Me at the cross)
